On 23 January 2025 the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development (VARAM) is organizing a panel discussion “Sustainability and artificial intelligence: synergy or challenge?”.

As part of the discussion, industry professionals and experts will discuss:

  • The role of AI in sustainable development
  • The added value of technologies, including AI, and a critical evaluation of their use
  • AI as a support tool for optimizing business processes
  • Examples of AI applications
  • What AI solutions are available and which sustainability processes they can be used for most effectively
  • What sustainability demands from companies and how AI can support it

The panel discussion will begin with an introductory presentation by Gatis Romanovskis, the director of Hansab company, on current AI trends and how they relate to sustainable development.

  • Modris Greitāns, The Institute of Electronics and Computer Sciences (EDI)
