In collaboration with partners from Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Lithuania, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, has announced a joint procurement aimed at finding a developer for an international web platform esgtool.eu that supports companies’ sustainability journeys and reporting. The estimated cost of the procurement is 250,000 euros.

The objective of the project is to develop a platform (website) intended for environmental, social, and governance mapping (“ESG Tool”). The goal of the “ESG Tool” is to promote and facilitate the adoption of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the partner countries of the project (Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania).

The “ESG Tool” will serve as a practical resource to raise awareness and guide organizations in implementing ESRS, fostering sustainable business practices across the participating countries. The tool helps organizations to initiate the first steps of stakeholder mapping and materiality assessment, as well as provides a knowledge database and supporting materials for possible future ESRS in-depth evaluation.

The platform will be created in Latvian, English, Estonian, Finnish, and Lithuanian and will be freely accessible to everyone. The developed tool will be piloted in each of the partner countries at the beginning of next year. In Latvia, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia (VARAM) and Latvian Information and communications technology association (LIKTA) will be responsible for the piloting activities.

A contract for the development work of the "ESG Tool" platform will be concluded with one provider for an expected duration of one year.

Bids can be submitted in English or Estonian until July 5, 2024 11:00:00 (UTC+3) in Estonian Public Procurement Register:
