| The Minister E.Sprūdžs will participate in the EU Environment Council in Brussels |

On 19th December the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Edmunds Sprūdžs will represent Latvia in the final European Union (hereinafter-EU) Environment Council (hereinafter- Council) in Brussels ( Belgium).
It is planned to discuss about the progress of European Commission legislative documents. For Latvia more important is proposed amendment on content of marine fuels.
As well as, it is planned to review the Council’s conclusions draft on EU Biological Diversity Strategy for 2020 and to adopt conclusions about the Roadmap to a Resource-Efficient Europe adopted by the Polish Presidency.
In the end of the Council it is planned to discuss about the results of Durban climate conference held from 28th November till 11th December, 2011.
